KALEIDOSCOPE STARS                                        Machine piecing

This quilt is a reworking of a child’s quilt from the 1830’s. The original is constructed out of the beautiful floral chintzes of the period in a colour scheme of mainly dark reds and greens.  This modern version uses the glowing jewel colours found in the latest fabric Collections.

ANNE SOMMERLAD                                     Wednesday 22 & 29 January Two Day         $150.00
JACOBEAN FLOWER VASE                                  Machine applique

PAINTING WITH FABRIC                                   Hand applique

Use the beautiful, big flowers available in the Westminster fabrics, particularly Philip Jacobs fabrics, to make this lovely vase of ‘painted flowers’.

CATHERINE BUTTERWORTH             Tuesday 28 January               One Day         $75.00
KALEIDOSCOPE WORKSHOP                               Machine piecing

The classic kaleidoscope quilt layout gives the illusion of curves and circles yet the blocks are stitched with straight seams!  With only two different shapes to cut, the kaleidoscope block is ideally suited for scrappy quilts.  You can make the large blue version or the baby red!

ANNE SOMMERLAD                               Thursday 30 January              One Day         $75.00
SCRAPPY STARS                                                        Machine piecing

This quilt features 30 star blocks and measures 70 x 82 inches. Each 12 inch block is composed of two contrasting Reproduction prints and a background fabric. It is a great project to use up lots of stash fabrics and is fat quarter friendly!! "Scrappy Stars" would work equally well in 1930’s fabrics or brights and can be easily enlarged to a queen or king sized quilt.

LIZ PINCZEWSKI                                             Friday 31 January                   One day          $75.00
JUBILATION                                                              Machine piecing

Discover a way to showcase your favourite fabrics with a quick machine pieced pattern.  The effect is electric but the piecing is effortless.
